MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The
University of Arkansas-Little Rock volleyball team went 2-0 on the day
with a sweep of Tennessee-Martin (30-16, 30-19, 30-23) at the University
of Memphis Invitational Friday.
Ana Carolina
Buccini led the team in kills with 15, while Larisa Durmisevic contributed
12. Megan Naborowski recorded her fourth double-digit match in digs with
a team high of 16.
The Trojans (3-3)
knocked down 52 kills during the match for a .319 mark. The team limited
their opponents to .051 hitting percentage.
UALR started the
first game strong recorded 16 kills with only two errors for a .452 mark.
Tennessee-Martin (0-5) knocked down eight kills but committed eight errors
for the game.
The Trojans
limited UT-Martin to .080 hitting percentage in the second game and .075
in the third.
Arkansas-Little Rock continues tournament action Saturday at 4:30 pm
against Alabama A&M and 7 pm against host school Memphis.
