Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La.?The UALR volleyball team ended the weekend with a 3-0 (22-30, 23-30, 22-30) loss to New Orleans Sunday. The Trojans fall to 9-13 on the season and 2-3 in Sun Belt Conference action.
Ivanka Davidova led UALR with 13 kills on 26 attempts and only one error for a .462 attack percentage.
Amila Barakovic contributed seven kills and seven digs, while Courtney Hays led the team with nine digs.
In the first game, UNO jumped to an early 2-0 lead on two service aces by Dobrilla Kovacevic.
With the score tied at 10, the Privateers scored two consecutive points to regain the lead on a kill by Kovacevic and an attack error by the Trojans.
UNO sustained their advantage winning the game on an ending kill by Jaci Bayley.
In game two, UALR only recorded nine kills while committing five errors for a .105 attack percentage, while UNO knocked down 18 kills and recorded a .351 attack percentage.
The Trojans took the early 2-0 on a kill by Sanda Dzile and a service ace by Dilyana Deyanova.
UNO tied the score on a service ace and kill by Kovacevic.
The Privateers expanded their lead scoring as many as six consecutive points. UNO won the game on a kill b y Jessica Helgeson.
In the third game, each team knocked down 14 kills, but the Trojans committed more errors with seven.
The Privateers jumped to a 3-0 start with a kill by Hillary Carr and two service aces by Kovacevic.
UALR tied the score at three with two kills by Davidova and a kill by Dzile.
After the score tied again, UNO knocked down seven straight points to take the 11-4 advantage.
UNO sustained their lead and won the match with an ending kill by Lauren Loeffelholz.
UALR continues conference action on Friday October 6 against Middle Tennessee at the Jack Stephens Center. Match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
