Box Score LITTLE ROCK, Ark.?The UALR volleyball team forced four games with a 30-22 victory in game three, but lost 3-1 (26-30, 22-30, 30-22, 30-28) Tuesday at the Jack Stephens Center. ASU snapped UALR's three match winning streak over the Lady Indians.
Amila Barakovic led the Trojans recording her 16th double-double with team highs of 29 kills and 15 digs.
Sanda Dzile recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 56 set assists and 11 digs.
Ivanka Davidova recorded 12 kills, while Anita Bucur knocked down ten.
Courtney Hays recorded 13 digs, while Marina Marinova contributed 11.
Four Lady Indians recorded double-digit kills with Robin Aaron leading ASU with 16, while five ASU players recorded double-digit digs with Randilyne Volkmer leading the team with 20.
In game one, ASU jumped to an early 3-0 lead. UALR tied the score at nine on a Lady Indian attack error, but ASU regained the advantage and held it.
ASU won game one on a UALR attack error 30-26.
In game two, Barakovic put UALR on the board first with a kill. After ASU tied the score, the Trojans knocked down four consecutive points for the 5-1 lead.
ASU bounced backing and tied the score at six.
With the score tied at 14, the Lady Indians scored five straight points to take the 19-14 advantage. ASU held on for the 30-22 win.
UALR scored the first three points in game three. After ASU put a point on the board, the Trojans knocked down five consecutive points.
ASU came within five points, but UALR won the game on a Lady Indian attack error.
In game four, Barakovic score the first point with a kill, but ASU charged back with three straight points.
A kill by Barakovic tied the score at eight. The score would tie 12 more times brining the score to 28 all.
The Lady Indians used a UALR attack error and a kill by Volkmer to win the game and match 30-28.
UALR continues Sun Belt action on Friday at the travel to Denver, Colo. to face the University of Denver. Match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
