Box Score 2 TULSA, Okla.? After a tough first match loss to Utah State 3-2 (33-31, 28-30, 27-30, 30-24, 17-19), the UALR volleyball team snapped their three match losing streak with a 3-0 win over St. Francis College (30-9, 30-7, 30-10) at the Oral Roberts Classic. The Trojans move to 7-9 on the season.
In the first match, Amila Barakovic recorded her career high with 29 kills and 18 digs for her ninth double-double of the season, while Ivanka Davidova knocked down a season high of 23 kills.
Dilyana Deyanova recorded her career high with 13 kills, while Anelia Petrova set her season high with six block assists.
Ana Carolina Buccini led the team with 35 digs for her sixth 30 plus dig match of the season.
In game one, the score remained close with the score being tied ten times. Utah State then scored six consecutive points to take the 16-10 advantage.
With the score at match point, UALR rallied and knocked down five straight points to take the 30-29 lead.
After the score tied twice, Barakovic recorded two straight kills to help the Trojans win the first game 33-31.
Utah State took the next two close games 30-28 and 30-27 on ending kills by Amanda Nielson and Beth Hodge.
In game four, the Trojans took an early lead and sustained it knocking down 20 kills on 43 attacks and only three errors for a .395 attack percentage. Davidova sealed the 30-24 win with a kill.
The lead traded teams several time in the final game of the match. With the score tied at 17, Utah State scored on a Trojan attack error and a service ace for the match.
In the second match, the Trojans held St. Francis to just 26 points in three matches and a -.151 hitting percentage while recording a .446 hitting percentage for the match.
Davidova led the Trojans with 16 kills and contributed one block solo and three block assists, while Barakovic knocked down nine kills and recorded 11 digs.
Marina Marinova led the team with a career high of 13 digs, while Courtney Hays contributed ten digs.
In game one, UALR knocked down 20 kills on 35 attempts and only two errors for a .486 attack percentage.
St. Francis stayed closed at the beginning of the match, but the Trojans knocked down 12 consecutive point to take a 23-7 lead.

In game two, the Trojans held St. Francis to just seven totals points. UALR won 30-7 on a kill by Davidova.
UALR took the third game 30-10 knocking down 15 total kills.
UALR continues tournament action at the Oral Roberts Classic Saturday against Texas-Arlington. Match begins at 12 p.m.
