Box Score MONROE, La.?The UALR volleyball team ended the regular season with their seventh straight win with a 3-0 (30-18, 30-21, 30-26) victory over ULM Sunday. The Trojans finish the regular season 22-8 overall and 14-4 in Sun Belt action and in second place in the west division.
Ivanka Davidova led the team in kills with ten, while Katie McCutcheon contributed eight. Amila Barakovic knocked down seven in the match.
Amy Hafner led the team in digs with 14, while Lenka Melicharkova tallied a team high of 37 assists.
In game one, ULM took the lead on a UALR attack error, before the Trojans knocked down eight straight points to take the 8-1 advantage.
UALR held the Warhawks to just 18 points for the game and won on a ULM attack error.
The Trojans started game two with a kill by Davidova and a service ace by Marina Marinova to jump to the 2-0 advantage.
The Warhawks tied the score twice before knocking down two straight points to take their only lead of the game.
UALR tied the scored twice, and then took back the lead with a ULM service error and a kill by Dilyana Deyanova.
The Warhawks pushed points tying the score at 11, before UALR knocked down four straight points including kills by Barakovic and Melicharkova.
UALR held the Warhawks to just ten more points in the game and
In game three, a Trojan service error put the first point up for ULM. UALR tied the score three times, before taking the advantage on a Warhawk attack error.
ULM pushed points and came within three, but the Trojans won the match on a kill by Davidova.
UALR continues volleyball action on Thursday at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Denver, Colo.
