La.—The
UALR volleyball team traveled to Louisiana-Lafayette where the Trojans lost 3-0
(15-25, 14-25, 23-25). The Trojans are
now 3-17 overall and 1-9 in Sun Belt Conference action.
Paige
Gantar led UALR in kills with ten, while Daniele Souza Moura led the team in digs with nine.
Louisiana-Lafayette
(14-12, 4-6 SBC) opened the first set on a 4-0 run including two attack errors
by the Trojans. UALR knocked down the
team's first point on a kill by Gantar.
The Ragin' Cajuns scored
as many as five-straight points and held the Trojans to 15 while winning the
set on service ace.
UALR recorded the team's
lowest attack percentage in set two with five kills on 34 attempts and six
errors for a -.029 percentage.
Both teams traded attack
errors to start the set with the score tying four times. With the score tied at four, UL recorded
five-straight points including two UALR attack errors for the 9-4 lead.
UL held the Trojans to 14
points and won the set on a kill.
UALR took the 1-0 lead in
set three on a kill by Gantar, before the Ragin' Cajuns tied the score on a
Trojan attack error.
The scored tied eight more
times and the lead changed hands three times.
UL held the lead throughout the set, until the Trojans pushed points
tying the score at 23 on a kill by Souza Moura.
Louisiana-Lafayette scored
two more kills to win the set and the match.
