LITTLE ROCK – For the second consecutive year, the Little Rock soccer team has earned its highest-ever seed in the Sun Belt Tournament.

This year, Little Rock (11-6-1, 6-3-1 Sun Belt Conference) will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament thanks to a 2-0 victory over Troy (7-9-3, 3-5-2) on Sunday at the Coleman Sports & Recreation Complex.

Just last season, Little Rock earned the league's No. 5 seed, then the best ever in team history. This season, Little Rock will take on the league's No. 6 seed, on November 2 in Foley, Alabama, in the tournament's opening round.

With the win Sunday, Little Rock also tied the program record for victories in a season with 11, equaling the mark set by the 2014 team. Little Rock also set a new program mark for conference wins in a season with six.
The win was also Little Rock's first against Troy since 2008 and the team's third straight win overall and the team's sixth straight game without a loss.

Doro Greulich scored Little Rock's first goal in the 36th minute, blasting the ball from distance into the right side of the net.
Mikayla Uyokpeyi got her first goal of the season in the 50th minute, launching the ball into the right side of the net from the top of the box as
Fali Garuba got her a pass.

Sara Small earned the win in goal, improving her record on the year to 9-5-1. She did not have to make a save in the win, though fellow senior
Hali Long stopped a ball from going into the net late in the game. Senior
Sara Cavanagh played the final eight minutes of the game as Little Rock allowed seniors to get into the contest for their final career home game.

Little Rock will close their regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Oklahoma State for a non-conference game. Little Rock and the Cowboys will kick off at 7 p.m.
