LITTLE ROCK – After a trip to defending Horizon League champion Green Bay on Sunday, the road does not get any easier for the Little Rock women's basketball team this week The Trojans are set to take on No. 16 Oklahoma in the Sooners' home gym on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

This will be the first of Little Rock's four games in 2016-17 against members of a major conference. Little Rock will also play LSU on the road while hosting Mississippi State and Texas A&M. The Trojans' 2016-17 non-conference slate includes five games against NCAA Tournament teams from last season and two more against WNIT teams from last season.

Little Rock will be looking to regroup on Wednesday after a tough outing in Wisconsin on Sunday. In that contest, Green Bay jumped out to a 15-0 lead, and Little Rock was never able to get back into the contest.

During that game, though, Sharde' Collins scored her 500th career point as a Trojan, becoming just the 29th player in team history to reach that mark. Monique Townson had her second consecutive double-digit scoring effort, reaching at least 10 points in consecutive games for the first time in her career.

Trojan fans also got to see more of some unfamiliar faces, as freshman Emily Lytle got her first career start and freshman Anna Hurlburt played 28 minutes. Hurlburt scored 7 points in the game including a 3-pointer and added four rebounds to finish second on the team in rebounding. Freshman Sydney Chastain also played one minute off the bench.

Sunday's game was also the first opportunity for Trojan fans to see Kiara Scott in action. The sophomore did not play at all last year and came in for seven minutes against the Phoenix. She recorded four rebounds and had a steal.

Little Rock will be traveling to the Lloyd Noble Center for the second consecutive season. When the teams met last year, Little Rock trailed by just 2 points at halftime before eventually falling by 13 points as the Sooners outscored the Trojans 34-23 in the second half.

This year's Oklahoma team is 1-0 after a season-opening blowout win over Southern Illinois. The Sooners got 14 players involved in the game in the 32-point victory aganst the Salukis. Vionise Pierre-Louis (18) and Gioya Carter (16) each scored in double figures.
