LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock women's basketball team held ULM without a point for the first 10 minutes of the game and cruised to a 78-34 victory over the Warhawks at the Jack Stephens Center on Saturday afternoon.
Â
Little Rock (8-6, 2-0 Sun Belt Conference) outscored ULM (3-10, 0-2) by a 16-0 margin in the first quarter as the Warhawks went 0-8 from the field and committed 11 turnovers. By halftime, Little Rock's lead had expanded to 41-9 and the contest was all but over.
Â
The Trojans' 9 points allowed in the first half ties the Little Rock school record for fewest points allowed in a first half since the team joined Division I basketball in 1999. The Trojans previously set that record on February 28, 2007 against New Orleans.
Â
The Trojans were led on offense by
Sharde' Collins and her 17 points.
Kyra Collier nearly had just the second triple-double in school history, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

Â
Little Rock's 78 points scored was a season high and its 34 points allowed was a season low. The team's 44-point margin of victory is its highest since defeating Incarnate Word by 48 points in December 2013.
Â
Eleven total players saw the floor for the Trojans, and all 11 of those players scored as
Kiara Scott hit a jumper at the final buzzer.
Ronjanae DeGray went 3 of 3 from the floor and finished with 8 points, and

Â
The Trojans forced 27 ULM turnovers and earned 25 assists, tying for the sixth-most assists in a game in team history.
Â
Little Rock will hit the road for its next two Sun Belt games, traveling to Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina next week. First up is a date with the Chanticleers on Thursday at 6 p.m. central in Conway, S.C.
