LITTLE ROCK – The Trojan women's basketball team is riding its best offensive stretch in school history into Saturday's Sun Belt Conference matchup against Louisiana.

Saturday's game will be a rematch of the first Sun Belt Conference game for both teams. Back on December 29, the Trojans trailed 22-7 at the end of the first quarter against the Ragin' Cajuns but came from behind for a 64-60 victory at the Jack Stephens Center.

Since then, Little Rock has not lost and has scored at least 70 points per game in seven consecutive victories. On Thursday at ULM, Little Rock put up 92 points to set a new program record for points in a game against a Division I opponent. The Trojans also made 67.9 percent of its field goals to set a new single-game program record.

In that win over ULM, the Trojans have five double-figure scorers for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and the Trojans' 45-point margin of victory was its biggest since December 2013.

Sharde' Collins continues to excel on the offensive side of the ball, as she scored 27 points against ULM to come just short of her 29-point career best that she set against South Alabama five days earlier. Collins is the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week and leads the league in scoring with 21.1 points per conference games.

The Trojans also saw career scoring highs from non-starters on Thursday as Anna Hurlburt set a new career high with 10 points, Carolee Dillard tied her career high with 10 points and Raeyana DeGray tied her career high with 7 points.

Little Rock will be bringing its hot offense to face one of the best offenses in the Sun Belt on Saturday. Louisiana is averaging 69.8 points per game this season – third-best in the Sun Belt – and shoots the ball at a 42 percent clip to lead the conference. The Cajuns are also second-best in the Sun Belt in 3-point percentage.

Jaylyn Gordon leads the way on offense for the Cajuns as well as the entire Sun Belt, scoring 18.2 points per game. Simone Fields averages 15.1 points per game, and Jasmine Thomas scores 11.0 points per game. On the boards, Fields is the best Cajun with 7.7 rebounds per game. Thomas is their top passer, averaging 3.2 assists per game.
