LITTLE ROCK – Now standing all alone in first place in the Sun Belt Conference, the Trojans will seek to stay on top on Saturday when they travel to Appalachian State. Tipoff in Boone, N.C., is scheduled for noon central time.

Little Rock has never lost to Appalachian State in the schools' previous four meetings since the Mountaineers joined the Sun Belt for the 2014-15 season. The Trojans will be seeking a 5-0 all-time edge in the series as well as a 4-0 record in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Trojans moved to 3-0 in the league with a 74-66 win over Coastal Carolina on Thursday night. The Trojans got a career-high 24 points from Kaitlyn Pratt along with a career-best 16 points from Monique Townson in the victory. Both players went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line in the game.

Little Rock dominated the first quarter before Coastal's offense got going in the second. But Pratt scored 14 in the third quarter to put Little Rock back on top for good. Sharde' Collins scored 6 of her 13 points on two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep Little Rock ahead.

The Trojans are ranked No. 64 in the nation in RPI, the second-highest RPI in the Sun Belt right now. Little Rock is also the best free-throw shooting team in the Sun Belt as Kyra Collier, Pratt and Townson rank 3-4-5 in the conference individually in free-throw percentage.

The Mountaineers are 2-1 in league play and 7-7 overall. They defeated Texas State and Arkansas State in conference play with their lone loss coming against UT Arlington on the road last weekend. App State is led on offense by Joi Jones and her 14.9 points per game. Madi Story has scored 11.8 points per game this season. The Mountaineers' coach is Angel Elderkin, who holds a 31-43 record with App State in her three years there.
