LITTLE ROCK – The 2017-18 women's basketball season will begin on Sunday for the Little Rock Trojans as they face the Memphis Tigers (1-0) at 3 p.m., at the Jack Stephens Center.

Little Rock has an all-time record of 5-7 against Memphis. All five of those wins have come in the last five meetings since 2012. Little Rock's average margin of victory in those game is 8.4 points. The Trojans and Tigers have each met once a year since 2010 while the series began in 1978.
 
The Tigers have already earned a win this season as they beat Tennessee State in overtime by a score of 79-75 at home on Friday night.
 
After Sunday's game against Memphis, Little Rock will host its first-ever School Day game on Wednesday against Tulsa. Over 1,000 students from area elementary and middle schools are expected for the 11:30 a.m., tip at the Jack Stephens Center.
