LITTLE ROCK – Three Trojan seniors will see their home careers come to an end on Saturday, but the bittersweet moment could come with a huge sweetener if the game goes Little Rock's way.
Â
Little Rock is set to face Georgia State at the Jack Stephens Center at 4 p.m. as part of Senior Night, and the Trojans can clinch the outright Sun Belt Championship and the conference tournament's No. 1 seed with a victory.
The Trojans last won the league's regular season championship in 2015. With three games remaining in the regular season, any single victory would give Little Rock the Sun Belt crown.
Â
Carolee Dillard,
Kaitlyn Pratt and
Sharde' Collins will be playing their final games at the Jack Stephens Center, but each of them has left a huge impact on the program record books.
Â
Dillard has the shortest tenure with the Trojans among the three but has still managed 150 career points and rebounds while placing 10th all-time in team history in blocks per game.
Â
Collins will leave Little Rock in the top 10 in program history in 3-point percentage, field goal attempts and 3-pointers made. Collins has scored 888 career points, grabbed 247 rebounds and has 143 assists.
Â
Pratt is one of just six Trojans to ever score 1,000 points and also have 600 rebounds. She is in the top 10 in program history in offensive rebounding, field goal percentage, free throws made, total rebounds, defensive rebounds, games played, games started and career minutes.
Â
Senior Night festivities will be held immediately following the game and will be followed by the Senior Night ceremony for the Trojan men's team and then the men's game against Georgia State.
Â
Coming to challenge the Trojans on Saturday is a Georgia State team currently seventh in the conference standings with a 7-9 league record and an 11-16 overall record. The Panthers began 1-6 in the conference but have won six of their last nine.
Â
Jada Lewis is the Panthers' leading scorer with 11.4 points per game. Tiffany Holston is the second-best scorer on the team with 9.7 points per game. On the boards, Holston is one of the best in the conference with 8.9 rebounds per outing. Lewis is the team's top passer with 1.8 assists per game, and K.K. Williams has the most steals with 1.2 per game.
Â
The Panthers have the fifth-best scoring offense in the league with 62.6 points per game. On defense they give up an average of 64.8 points per game.
