LITTLE ROCK – The beginning of Sun Belt Conference action begins this weekend as Little Rock volleyball (4-8) welcomes Appalachian State (5-9) and Coastal Carolina (3-6) to the Jack Stephens Center for its first home matches of 2017. The Trojans will face the Mountaineers on Friday at 6:30 p.m., before taking on the Chanticleers on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Friday night will be Beach Volleyball Night at the Jack Stephens Center. The first 100 students will receive a free Maroon Mob tank top. After the match, the Trojans will sign autographs on the mezzanine.
Little Rock is 5-1 all-time against Appalachian State and
has won two consecutive matches against the Mountaineers, including a three-set sweep last season. Little Rock is undefeated at home against App State with a 2-0 record. The Trojans and Mountaineers last faced each other in the Jack Stephens Center in 2015 as Little Rock came out on top in four sets. Friday's match will be the sixth meeting between the Mountaineers and Trojans since App State joined the Sun Belt in 2014.

Coastal Carolina is Little Rock's least familiar Sun Belt opponent as the two squads' only matchup occurred last year in Conway, South Carolina. The eventual Sun Belt Tournament champions knocked off the Trojans in three sets.
