Trojans Extend 26-Year Win Streak in Sweep of ULM

LITTLE ROCK – The Trojan volleyball team completed its seventh sweep of the season, second in Sun Belt play, to extend a winning streak against ULM that started back on Oct. 10, 1992.

Carol Barbosa led the team with a match-high 12 kills, while Pamela Zuluaga paced the team with 25 assists and Sydnee Martin and Diana Giordani led the team in digs with nine a piece. Taylor Lindberg came close to a triple-double, recording seven kills, 17 assists and seven digs.

As a team, Little Rock hit .340 on the evening, led by Barbosa's .733 attack percentage with Veronica Marin registering nine kills with no errors on 14 attempts, hitting .643 for the Trojans. Laura Jansen also finished with nine kills with no errors on 18 attempts, hitting .500.

The Trojans posted eight blocks on the night, once again led by Marin, who tallied five total, including four solo. Barbosa and Jansen each added three blocks defensively for Little Rock.

Little Rock dominated from the opening set, with just a single lead change and five tied scores in the first pair of games. The Warhawks rallied in the third set, tying it 9-9, but the Trojans ripped off a 9-1 run to put the final set away and complete the sweep.

Tonight's three setter is the 26th in the series for Little Rock's Team.
