Trojans Top Louisiana in Straight Sets, Log Back-to-Back Sweeps Over Weekend

LITTLE ROCK - The Trojan volleyball team aced Louisiana in straight sets Saturday night (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) to log the first back-to-back sweeps in conference play since sweeping Louisiana and ULM in 2015. Little Rocks Team is now 13-8 overall and 5-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Little Rock and Louisiana spent the majority of each game trading points, but the Trojans would find a way to grit it out late in the set and string a run to create enough separation to close the match. Little Rock's Team dug in their heels during the final frame to take the lead away from the Ragin' Cajuns and cap off the game, and match, with a 5-1 run.

The even bout was decided by a combined 10 points and featured 38 ties, 15 of them coming in the first game. There were also 13 total lead changes, five of them coming in the first and last frames.
