OPENING SERVE
Little Rock is on the road, yet again, this weekend for the second to last Sun Belt Conference road trips of the season. The Trojans will play two matches, one Friday and one Saturday, both in Georgia. Little Rock's team squares off against Georgia Southern Friday, Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. CT and takes on Georgia State Saturday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. CT.
CONFERENCE GOINGS
The Trojans have put together a 6-3 conference record just past halfway point of Sun Belt play and sit second behind Texas State the West Division. Little Rock's team is coming off a comeback win at Arkansas State, the first win against the Red Wolves since 2014, and recording the second five set win of the season.
THE TROJAN WALL
Paced by the effort of
Veronica Marin this season, Little Rock ranks among the national leaders in a handful of defensive categories. The Trojans sit fifth nationally in total blocks (238) and eighth for opponent hitting percentage (.150). Marin also paces the country in total blocks (141) and has the fourth best blocks per set average in the nation (1.64).
TRIPLE-DOUBLE LINDBERG
Senior setter
Taylor Lindberg has proven to be an even greater threat for Little Rock with the implementation of
Van Compton's 6-2 offensive scheme in 2018. Lindberg registered her third triple-double of the year against Arkansas State, handing out 25 assists with 10 kills and 11 digs and helped the Trojans comeback against Arkansas State. She has the only triple-doubles in the Sun Belt Conference this season while ranking seventh nationally.
