Shanieke Watson was the top Trojan finisher at the Sun Belt Conference Championship, coming in at 11
th with a time of 17:56.8 in the 5k, and junior
Emilio Medina came in 51
st at 27:30.5 for the men's 8k.

The men's team finished 10
th totaling 283 points and the women placed eighth tallying 186 points. With her finish, Watson was named Third-Team All-Sun Belt. Today's finish for the women was the highest conference championship finish since the 2015 season.
Hunter Paul placed 24th for the Trojan woman (18:33.8), followed closely by
Vianney Sanchez (18:55.4) in 31
st.
Hannah Manning's time of 19:29.8 placed her 49
th. Kimerley Boni (21:52.9) and
Akeia Joyner (24:05.4) rounded out the rest of the Little Rock competitors, placing 71
st and 77
th. Sanchez, Watson and Manning logged the second fastest times of their careers.
Ricardo Banks trailed directly behind Medina, finishing 52
nd at 27:34.3.
Anthony Puerta came shortly behind at 27:43.6, placing 55
th, and was followed by
Carter Reynolds (28:59.6),
Hunter Tucker (29:27.7) and
Rogelio Araiza (29:34.4). They marked spots of 62
nd, 63
rd and 64
th, respectively.
