NEW ORLEANS – Top-seeded Little Rock women's basketball (22-9) will compete in the Sun Belt Conference's championship game for the eighth time in program history as it faces No. 2 Texas State (23-8) tonight at 6 p.m. inside Lakefront Arena. The game will air live on ESPN3.

Little Rock has an all-time series lead of 9-5 against Texas State since the beginning of the series in 1988. The Trojans have faced the Bobcats at the Sun Belt Championship two times before and won both meetings by scores of 62-50 and 87-44. Sunday will mark the first time Little Rock and Texas State have met in the Sun Belt's championship game.

Like Little Rock, Texas State is on a seven-game winning streak — its longest of the season. The Bobcats defeated Louisiana 62-56 in the semifinals on Saturday night. Texas State's last loss occurred on Feb. 10 at UT Arlington as it fell 61-59 in overtime. Little Rock defeated Texas State 63-48 in the lone regular-season meeting.
