Diana Giordani has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Giordani's 5.5 digs per set was among the best defensive marks in the Sun Belt Conference last weekend as she registered 22 digs in Little Rock's 3-0 sweep of ULM in Monroe. In all, Giordani posted 33 total digs, eight assists and served up an ace.
This marks the second time this season Giordani has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week. She also received the honor on Sept. 16 after Little Rock claimed two wins in the UCA Invitational, including a 3-1 win over Central Arkansas.
The Trojans host Georgia State (Friday, Nov. 1) and Georgia Southern (Saturday Nov. 2) this weekend at the Jack Stephens Center. Friday's match is Campers Night with the team signing postgame autographs and the first 50 fans receiving a free volleyball-shaped stress ball.
