Opening Tee
Little Rock's busy October continues this week with the second of four tournaments in a five-week span. The Trojans venture to Glencoe, Alabama, for the 2019 Chris Banister Golf Classic October 7 and 8.

Tournament Information
The 2019 Chris Banister Golf Classic, hosted by Jacksonville State, is in its 25th season as the tournament was first held in 1996. This year's event will be held at Silver Lake Golf Club, a par-72, 6,107 yard course in Glencoe, Alabama. The 54-hole event will get underway Monday, October 7 with the first two rounds, starting with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will begin with 7:30 a.m. tee times from holes one and 10.

Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 11 teams competing in the 2019 Chris Banister Golf Classic and is one of just two Sun Belt Conference schools participating, being joined by Troy. The remainder of the field has a heavy Ohio Valley Conference contingent, comprised of Austin Peay, host Jacksonville State, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennesssee Tech with Alabama State, Elon, James Madison and North Alabama rounding out the field.

Trojan Lineup
The Trojan lineup in Alabama this week will mirror Little Rock's finish at the Johnie Imes Invitational last week.
Kellie Gachaga will occupy the number one spot for the Trojans after tying for 22nd in Missouri, with
Malena Austerslaatt playing the number two position and
Tilde Bocker sitting third.

Trojans at the Chris Banister Golf Classic
Little Rock will return to eastern Alabama to compete in the tournament for the first time since 2013 when the Trojans were the tournament runner-up. It is just the second time in program history Little Rock will participate in the event, marking the second time this season it will play a tournament in the state of Alabama.

Last Time Out
Little Rock jumped two spots over the final 18 holes at the 12th annual Johnie Imes Invitational, finishing tied for 10th among the 15-team field with a 51-over 915.
Kellie Gachaga tied her career-best with a 9-over 225, finishing tied for 22nd individually, while
Malena Austerslaatt tied for 35th with an 11-over 227 at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

Back to Alabama
The trip to Glencoe marks Little Rock's second trip to the state of Alabama this season after tying for 14th at the season-opening USA Intercollegiate in Mobile. Following this week's tournament, the Trojans will have traveled just over 2,500 miles on the year as Little Rock will compete in severn different states during the 2019-20 season.

Looking Ahead
The Trojans will make its shortest road trip of the season next week when Little Rock heads up to Jonesboro for the 2019 Red Wolves Golf Classic. Hosted by rival Arkansas State, the two-day tournament will be held October 14 and 15 at Sage Meadows Golf Club.
