Series History
LSU has a 5-1 lead in the all-time series and hasn't allowed a Little Rock win at the Jack Stephens Center, but that doesn't mean it has been easy. Two of the three games at home have been decided by less than eight points. Little Rock's win in the series came in 2014 in Baton Rouge, a 70-54 Trojan victory.
Five Things to Know
- Home Opener History
Little Rock has won three consecutive home openers and is 13-3 in home openers under the direction of Joe Foley. Overall, the Trojans are 17-11 in home openers. This will mark the second time Little Rock has opened its home slate against the Tigers, the last being a 57-51 LSU win in 2015.
- Facing Four (Yet Again)
LSU will mark the third opponent (in three games this year) that Little Rock will be facing a team that returns four starters from last year. In addition to four starters, LSU returns a scoring defense that led the SEC and ranked 16th nationally at 56.2 points per game last year.
- Tall Tales
Wednesday's contest between Little Rock and LSU will be a first for the Trojans this year. Not only will it be the first home game in Little Rock but it will be the first time this young season that Little Rock's Team will have an average height taller than their opponent. LSU enters the game with an average height of 5-foot-9 ½ while Little Rock has an average height of 5-foot-10 2/3.
- A First Look at Fresh Faces
For those Trojan fans that didn't make the trip to Texas last week, Wednesday's tilt will be the first opportunity to see several new faces in a Trojan uniform. Seven newcomers make up the 2019-20 Little Rock roster with six of them entering their freshman year.
- Rising Sun
Last season, the Sun Belt Conference recorded its highest RPI as a league since the 2014-15 season, coming in at 12th in the nation (matching a league-record mark). That shows the growth and competitiveness of a league the Trojans have made a habit of winning. Little Rock had the highest RPI of any team in the Sun Belt last year at No. 61.
