Three Things to Know
- Two Teams Diverged in the Natural State
Little Rock enters Tuesday's match looking to extend its three-match winning streak while Arkansas State is hoping to regroup and end a three-match losing streak. But anything can happen when two rivals meet on the court and this match will be no different.
- More Than Just Bragging Rights
Tuesday's match will be for more than just bragging rights in the longstanding series. Both teams are not only tied for fourth in the Sun Belt's Western Division but both are also tied for the eighth and final spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. While there will still be two weekends of action to play after Tuesday, the match could go a long way in determining the postseason fates of the teams.
- Trojan Duo Honored
Little Rock's Carol Barbosa (Offensive) and Janae Thurston (Freshman) were both honored by the Sun Belt Conference Monday afternoon as two of the league's Players of the Week. This marks the third and fourth weekly honors that the Trojans have claimed this year. Little Rock will need both to continue the strong effort in Tuesday's match.
