Five Things to Know
- Last in the Jack in 2019
Tuesday's game may not mark Little Rock's last game in the metro region for this calendar year but it will be the last time you can see the Trojans at the Jack Stephens Center in 2019.
- Battle for Blocks
Tuesday's game against Memphis will feature a team that is good at registering blocked shots (Memphis) versus a team that is good at avoiding blocks (Little Rock). The Tigers rank 41st nationally in blocks per game (4.5) while Little Rock ranks 29th in the nation in percentage of shots not blocked (4.9 percent).
- Cool Hand Syd
Sydney Chastain is a smart cookie and is often lauded for the smart decisions she makes on the court. So it is no surprise that her current 3.27 assist-to-turnover ratio is not only a good number, it is a mark that ranks 10th in the nation and the second-highest of any player from a non-power conference.
- High Rate of Points
Kyra Collier is making the most of her time on the court. The Trojan senior, who also ranks fifth nationally in minutes per game (38:42), ranks second in the Sun Belt and 89th nationally averaging 16.8 points per game.
- Maybe it's a Rock City Thing?
Kyra Collier isn't the only one logging an impressive amount of minutes. Little Rock's Markquis Nowell on the men's side currently ranks sixth in minutes per game (37:42). The Trojans, both men and women, are utilizing the strength of their top players.
