Five Things to Know
- Trojans Continue Homestand
Little Rock is getting used to having Little Rock's Team playing in Arkansas's capital city as the Trojans will continue a three-game homestand and one of four games in the metropolitan area. After the three-game swing at The Jack, Little Rock will play Arkansas at Simmons Bank Arena on Dec. 21 in North Little Rock.
- Looking to Defend The Jack
Little Rock is not just looking for a win, the Trojans have an opportunity to further the Golden Hurricane's woes on the road. Tulsa visits the Jack Stephens Center with a 3-6 record but have not recorded a win away from home this year. A loss Saturday would extend an already three-game losing streak for Tulsa. But the same can be true for Little Rock. The Trojans are searching for their second win of the year and have also lost a trio in a row.
- A Long History Against Little Rock
Tulsa Head Coach Matilda Mossman is no stranger to the Trojans. Saturday's game will be her 10th game coaching against Little Rock's Team, nine of which have come while guiding Tulsa. Mossman also coached against Little Rock in 1987 when she hosted the Trojans while head coach of Kansas State.
- Consistent Force
If you think you're seeing a lot of Kyra Collier - and that's a thought that should trouble Little Rock opponents - then you are not wrong. Not only has she played the full 40 minutes over three of the last five games (LSU, Central Arkansas, WKU), she enters this week's action leading the Sun Belt and ranking fifth nationally in minutes played per game (38.36).
- Maybe it's Something in the Water
Think Kyra Collier's minutes played numbers are impressive? Ain't nothing but a Little Rock thing. Collier is joined in the national top-10 rankings in minutes played per game by Little Rock's Markquis Nowell on the men's side. Nowell currently ranks second in the nation with an average of 39.05 minutes played per game while his total minutes played, 351.49, leads the nation.
