LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock Volleyball Head Coach
Van Compton has announced the addition of Madison Nichols to the Trojan roster, beginning in the 2019 season. Nichols will join the program this summer as an incoming freshman with four years of eligibility remaining.
A native of Carlsbad, California, Nichols is a 6-1 middle blocker who prepped at Carlsbad High School and was a four year letterwinner for the Lancers. She was also a member of Wave Volleyball Club, one of the premiere leagues in the nation.
"We're very excited for the addition of Madison to our program," said Compton. "I expect her to bring ball control and volleyball experience to our team, playing for one of the top club teams in California. That will be complemented by her athleticism and vertical leap of nearly 10 feet."
Nichols will add to Compton's incoming recruiting class, which added five during the fall early signing period. She will be one of two California recruits heading to central Arkansas, joining Wave teammate Maile Levy from San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas.
Little Rock's 2019 volleyball schedule will begin in late August with the full Trojan schedule announced in the coming weeks.
