LITTLE ROCK- Little Rock baseball will hold open tryouts for walk-on positions for the Trojan baseball team on Friday, August 23 at Gary Hogan Field. The tryout session gets underway promptly at 1 p.m.
In order to participate in the tryout, players must be enrolled full-time at UA Little Rock and bring with them proof of a current physical as well as a hard copy of their fall 2019 class schedule. Participants should come in proper baseball attire - hat, baseball pants, glove and cleats - and should bring their own batting equipment. Baseballs will be provided.
Little Rock is coming off a 29-win season in 2019, notching a program-record 18 conference victories. The Trojans then advanced to the second round of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference tournament. Following the conclusion of the season, right-handed pitcher
McKinley Moore was drafted in the 14th round by the Chicago White Sox, while left-handed pitcher
Chandler Fidel was selected in the 23rd round by the Cleveland Indians.
