Diana Giordani Named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – After leading the Trojans to a Governor's I-40 Showdown win over Central Arkansas and the first Little Rock win over UCA since 2007, senior Diana Giordani has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Giordani posted a career-high 31 digs in Little Rock's 3-2 win over Oral Roberts a day before leading all players with 18 digs in the 3-1 win over UCA.
 
Over the full week, the senior co-captain averaged 5.25 digs per set with a total of 63 digs. She also registered 14 assists and served up an ace. Little Rock finished the week 2-1 with a loss to Ole Miss before claiming wins over Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas.
 
This marks the first Player of the Week honor in Giordani's career in Little Rock.
