MARTIN, Tenn. – Carol Barbosa put down 14 kills and
Diana Giordani registered double-digit digs for the sixth consecutive match but Little Rock couldn't extend the team's momentum in a 3-1 loss to Mercer in the opening match of the Skyhawk Invitational Friday morning.
Barbosa hit .393 to lead the way for Little Rock (2-8) in a match that featured 20 tie scores and 10 lead changes. Mercer (6-5) was led by the 17 kills and .429 hitting percentage of Roberta Todd while Jaida Howell hit .632 with 13 kills for the Bears.
