LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A new start and a fresh chapter. Little Rock Volleyball travels to Alabama this weekend for the opening weekend of Sun Belt Conference play.
 
The Trojans (2-10, 0-0) will open league play against a red-hot Troy team that is currently 10-2 and has won a Sun Belt-best five matches in a row. South Alabama is hot on Troy's heels as the Jaguars are 8-5 and have won four matches in a row. Little Rock will look to cool off both of those streaks in their trip to Alabama this weekend.

Three Things to Know

1. Conference Opening Weekend
   Little Rock opens Sun Belt Conference play with a trip to Alabama as the Trojans will face Troy (Sept. 27) and South Alabama (Sept. 28). The Trojans (the Arkansas version) look to open conference play with a win for the second consecutive season. Little Rock has won three of its past five conference openers.
2. Digging Machine
   Senior Diana Giordani has been a digging machine of late, recording eight consecutive matches with double-digit digs. That high rate of play on the defensive side has her currently ranked eighth in the Sun Belt with an average of 3.89 digs per set as the Trojans open conference play this weekend.
3. Red Maroon Cross
   Who needs substitutions? Little Rock has been plagued by injuries lately that last weekend's action at UT Martin witnessed two matches where the Trojans were down to only seven available players. Thankfully, the team's health has been bolstered over the week with a few players expected to return to action this weekend in Alabama.
