Five Things to Know
- Old School
As part of the throwback festivities, Little Rock will be wearing its old maroon and yellow "UA Little Rock" jerseys during Saturday's game against Georgia State.
- Keep the Streak Alive
The Trojans have won 37 consecutive home Sun Belt games. Now Little Rock will try to fend off a strong blocking presence of Georgia State in order to secure their 38th straight home conference win.
- Collier Hits Impressive Milestone
Kyra Collier recently scored her 1,000th career point, becoming the 14th Trojan to achieve such a feat. She had already brought down 500 rebounds in her career and is just the eighth player – seventh during Joe Foley's tenure – to record 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds.
- Teal is the Color of Free
Throws, that is. Teal Battle enters this game ranked 40th in the nation with 61 free throws made this season. She's been able to make so many free throws because she has been fouled enough to have attempted 83 free throws this season, a mark that ranks 41st in the nation. Battle is tough at the line, hitting 73.5 percent of her free throw attempts, ranking 225th in the nation and ninth in the Sun Belt Conference.
- A Chance to Stay Near the Top
Little Rock enters Saturday's contest tied for third in the league with a 2-1 mark in Sun Belt play. Only Troy (3-0) and UT Arlington (3-0) are ahead of Little Rock's Team at this point and the Trojans can stay hot on their heels with another win on Saturday.
