Little Rock, which finished fifth in the Sun Belt's West Division, will face Louisiana (No. 2 West) and Georgia State (No. 3 East) as pool play begins Wednesday at the Foley Sports Complex in Foley, Alabama. All matches at the Sun Belt Volleyball Championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Â
The Trojans (4-13, 4-12 Sun Belt) will be in Pool D with the winner advancing to face the winner of Pool A (Coastal Carolina, Arkansas State, Appalachian State) when bracket play begins with the semifinals on Saturday.
Â
Little Rock opens championship week by facing the Ragin' Cajuns on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Noon. Louisiana swept the regular season series against the Trojans but it featured three incredibly close matches, including a five-setter that opened conference play with a 37-35 set decision.
Â
Due to the Sun Belt implementing a division-only schedule this season, the Trojans did not face Georgia State in the regular season. However, like Louisiana, Little Rock knows how close, competitive matches can go against the Panthers. The last time the two teams met, Little Rock faced set point before going on a 10-0 run to claim a 26-24 opening set, eventually winning in five sets.
Â
The Trojans will face Georgia State on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Noon then Georgia State will play Louisiana on Friday, Nov. 20 at Noon to wrap up that group's pool play. The pool winner advances to the semifinals and will play Saturday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.
