LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In a normal year, non-conference games are scheduled a year (or more) in advance with plenty of preparation for practice and logistics. This year is anything but normal.
Â
Little Rock (0-1) will travel to Memphis (0-0) Tuesday for a 7 p.m. women's basketball game that was announced just moments after the Trojans wrapped up their season opener against Rice on Saturday. Tuesday evening will mark just 75 hours from game scheduling announcement.

Series History
- This will be the 16th meeting between Little Rock and Memphis in a series that dates back to 1978.

Five Things You Need to Know
- Long Distance Information…
...Give me Memphis, Tennessee. Well, you may not need long distance information, but you will need ESPN+ or to tune in to 920AM The Sports Animal on Tuesday. Memphis's Elma Roane Fieldhouse will only be open to immediate families of players with no tickets available to the general public. Trojan fans will have to tune in to one of the two broadcasts to follow Little Rock's game Tuesday evening.
- Not Down in the Jungle Room
Elma Roane Fieldhouse isn't the Jungle Room at Graceland, but the home court of the Tigers does have a cozy feel. Originally with a capacity of 2,565, that number is now down to a cozy 160 maximum with only immediate family of players able to attend the game in person. And regardless of the facility or location, Little Rock will be sporting its traditional Nikes and not any blue suede shoes.
- Homecoming Battle
When Little Rock heads to Memphis Tuesday, it will be a Homecoming Battle for one Trojan. Teal Battle, a native of Millington (a suburb of Memphis), will get a chance to play in her hometown and in front of her family one final time Tuesday evening. In her last trip to Memphis, Little rock posted a 63-60 win on Dec. 21, 2018. Battle scored 10 points, blocked three shots and had a steal and a rebound in 15 minutes of game action in that contest.
- Stop the Streak
Last year, it was Memphis. This time, it's the Trojans turn. Little Rock could end Memphis's streak of winning nine consecutive season openers with a victory Tuesday evening. That would be a fair trade off after Memphis ended Little Rock's streak of having won seven straight in the series with a 68-50 win over the Trojans last year.
- Great Scott!
Bre'Amber Scott got her Little Rock career off to a hot start on Nov. 28, leading all players with a game-high 19 points in her Trojan debut. The Little Rock native and product of Little Rock Central High was just two points away from matching a career-high mark and tied career-highs in rebounds (5) and assists (3) while falling less than a minute shy of a new career-high mark there as well.
