Trojan Women Picked to Finish Third in Sun Belt West Division

NEW ORLEANS – Little Rock's Women's Basketball Team is projected to finish in the Sun Belt Conference's West Division this season the league announced Thursday.
 
The divisional poll is released as the conference will shift to a division-only schedule for the 2020-21 season. UT Arlington was selected to win the division, followed by Louisiana. Voting point totals were not released by the league.
 
Little Rock posted a 9-9 record in Sun Belt play last season, going 4-4 in the regular season against West Division opponents.
 
The Trojans are picked ahead of Arkansas State in the division, followed by Texas State and ULM. Overall, Little Rock was picked to finish fifth, just 12 points behind Louisiana.
 
On the East side, Troy was selected to win, followed by South Alabama and Coastal Carolina. Appalachian State, Georgia State and Georgia Southern round out that division in that order.
 
With a division-only schedule this season, Sun Belt members won't face interdivisional opponents until the Sun Belt Tournament. That championship event, which moves to Pensacola, Florida this year, is set for March 5-8.
 
Projected division standings are below, as is a full-conference projected order of finish along with point totals including first place votes. The Sun Belt Conference asked voters to vote for the league as a whole despite the conference playing a division-only schedule.
 
Little Rock is finalizing its non-conference schedule for both the men and women as well and will announce the complete schedules in the coming weeks. Season tickets are on sale by contacting the Trojan Ticket Office at (501) 565-8257.
 
Due to the limited number of seats available in the Jack Stephens Center this season, purchasing season tickets is the only guaranteed way to ensure seats at every Trojan home game as Little Rock competes for another Sun Belt Conference title.
