Five Things to Know
- To Get This Record This Weekend Would Be Peach-y Keen
Legendary head coach Joe Foley needs only two wins to become just the sixth active Division I head coach with 800 career wins. He can claim No. 799 Thursday evening in Statesboro to give the Hall of Fame leader a chance at claiming No. 800 in the Peach State Saturday when the Trojans play at Georgia State.
- Another Milestone Could Be Reached Thursday
Senior Kyra Collier needs only three steals to reach her 200th career steal. Not only would that be a notable milestone, it would make her just the second Trojan ever – alongside Chastity Reed – to register at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals in her career. She would also be only the third active player in the country with those numbers. Collier currently has 45 steals on the year, 30 of which in her nine games of conference play.
- More Than One Streak On the Line
Not only has Little Rock won four in a row, the Trojans have a 9-0 record all-time against the Eagles. Little Rock will be looking to continue perfection Thursday evening.
- Eastern Favor
The Trojans have won eight consecutive regular season games in the Eastern Time Zone entering Thursday's contest. That stretch dates back to Nov. 19, 2016 when Little Rock fell at Fordham, 65-43, in a Preseason WNIT game held in the Bronx, N.Y.
- Damaging Duo
When Little Rock is successful this season, it is because of the damage that the duo of Kyra Collier and Teal Battle can inflect on teams. When those two players combine to score 30 points or more this season, the Trojans have a 6-3 mark.
