LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Volleyball has added to its 2020 slate as the Trojans will host Missouri State on Sept. 20 at the Jack Stephens Center.
Â
The Sunday matinee match marks the second non-conference match for the Trojans after Little Rock faces Central Arkansas in the Governor's I-40 Showdown on Sept. 11. The added contest will provide Little Rock one more test before Sun Belt Conference play begins on Sept. 25.
Â
Sunday's match will be just the sixth meeting between the two programs despite the regional connection. Missouri State leads the series, 3-2, after claiming a 2012 match, 3-1, in Springfield, Missouri. This will be the Bears' first-ever trip to Little Rock.
Â
In addition to the Sunday match, the two teams will face each other in an exhibition contest on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m.
Â
Missouri State is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, a league that is not competing in sports this fall but has allowed member institutions to compete in select non-conference matches. The Bears went 10-22 (7-11 MVC) in a rebuilding year last fall.
Â
Ticket information and protocols for the Jack Stephens Center for events this fall will be announced in the coming days.
