NEW ORLEANS – Following another standout week where she set once again set a career-high mark in digs, Little Rock junior
Leigh Maher as repeated as the Sun Belt Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Maher recorded a new career-high of 36 digs in Little Rock's thrilling five-setter against Louisiana Friday, including a remarkable 16 digs in the marathon 37-35 opening set. Overall, Maher registered 72 total digs – an average of 6.55 per set – with 12 assists and two service aces.

The defensive specialist was impactful all over the court throughout the three-match series against the Ragin' Cajuns, even recording a kill.

Maher posted double-digit digs in all three matches as Little Rock opened up Sun Belt play in the new, three-match series format established this year.

The Trojans now set their sights on Arkansas State. Little Rock will open the Sun Belt series against the Red Wolves in Jonesboro starting Friday at 6 p.m.
