LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock's
Max Holzmueller finished fourth in the heptathlon at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State but saw his hopes of breaking more records were dashed when a minor leg injury limited his participation over the final two events.
Â
Holzmueller had entered the day in second place and not far from the leader but a minor hamstring injury in Saturday's opening event limited his effectiveness throughout the remainder of the final day of competition.
Â
He finished the day 3,808 points and in fourth place.
Â
Little Rock returns to the track Sunday at the Scarlet and Black Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
