Holzmueller Finishes Fourth

Injury prevents Holzmueller from setting more records

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock's Max Holzmueller finished fourth in the heptathlon at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State but saw his hopes of breaking more records were dashed when a minor leg injury limited his participation over the final two events.

Holzmueller had entered the day in second place and not far from the leader but a minor hamstring injury in Saturday's opening event limited his effectiveness throughout the remainder of the final day of competition.

He finished the day 3,808 points and in fourth place.

Little Rock returns to the track Sunday at the Scarlet and Black Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
