NEW ORLEANS – After recording her 1,000
th career kill and leading Little Rock to a weekend sweep in Georgia, Little Rock's
Laura Jansen has been named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.

The Trojans' senior outside hitter hit .300 and averaged 4.00 kills per set, leading Little Rock to a weekend sweep of Georgia Southern and Georgia State. In the process, she recorded her 1,000th career kill, making her just the 10th player in program history to achieve that milestone. She did so as part of a 32-kill performance over her two matches.

Jansen put down 15 kills in a sweep at Georgia Southern. Jansen recorded her 29th career double-double in Saturday's come-from-behind victory at Georgia State. She led Little Rock to a 3-2 win in that Saturday match, also posting a career-high six blocks against the Panthers. Jansen also averaged 3.38 digs per set and seven total blocks on the weekend.

Little Rock returns to action this weekend when the Trojans host ULM (Friday) and Louisiana (Saturday) at the Jack Stephens Center in the final two home matches of the season. Both matches start at 6 p.m.
