Box Score LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Nicole Medlin hit a career-high .600,
Nejra Hanic recorded 10 kills and Little Rock stormed by ULM in a 3-0 sweep Friday night at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock.
Medlin led all players with a .600 hitting percentage (7-1-10), leading the Trojans to a team mark of .341 (41-10-91). The Fort Smith native was one of three Trojans to hit over .300 in the match, pacing Little Rock (14-10, 5-7 Sun Belt) to its third consecutive win.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-13 and 25-16.
Hanic came off the bench to post a match-leading 10 kills while her and Medlin led all players with four blocks each. The Trojans combined for 10 total blocks with seven different players recording a block and paired that with a double-digit advantage in digs (48-36) to hold ULM to a .010 hitting percentage. The Warhawks hit in the negative in the final two sets.
The win moves Little Rock into third place in the Sun Belt's Western Division, a half-game ahead of UT Arlington and a full game ahead of Arkansas State. The Trojans are now two games behind Louisiana for second place with the Ragin' Cajuns visiting Little Rock Saturday evening. That match will be Senior Night at the Jack Stephens Center with ceremonies beginning at 6 p.m.
ULM (5-22, 1-11) was led by Avery Cole's eight kills and two service aces.
