LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Last December, Little Rock toppled yet another Power 5 school when the Trojans beat Vanderbilt, 82-74, at the Jack Stephens Center. Friday night the Trojans will look to repeat that success against a very different Vandy team when they meet up with the Commodores in Nashville.

Five Things to Know
- Death. Taxes. Joe Foley's Defense.
If there's one thing coaches don't want to face, it's Joe Foley's defense. If there's two things they don't want to face, it's Joe Foley's defense twice in the same weekend. That is because Little Rock and Joe Foley have set the standard when it comes to the Trojans defensive efforts, ranking in the top two of the conference in 10 of the past 11 years in scoring defense while ranking in the top 25 nationally in scoring defense in nine of past 11 years.
- The Trojans are Offensive
On the glass, that is. Through one game, Little Rock ranks 52nd in the nation in offensive rebounds and 68th nationally in offensive rebound rate (the percentage of offensive rebound opportunities actually rebounded).
- Welcome to The Rock
It didn't take long for some of the newcomers to get acclimated to their place within the program as the 2021-22 season go tunderway. After just one game in a Trojans uniform, Raziya Potter (16 points), Sali Kourouma (15 points) and Amari Conn (7 points) showed they have the ability to make a difference on the court. Even more impressive, they did that against a Missouri State team that has been to back-to-back Sweet 16s and is the preseason pick to win the Missouri Valley Conference.
- Offensive Glass
Krystan Vornes is becoming a relentless worker in the paint. The Trojan fifth-year enters the season ranked 10th all-time in Little Rock history with an average of 2.2 offensive rebounds per game. Vornes will look to improve upon that number when the Trojans face Vanderbilt Friday evening.Last season, Vornes averaged 3.4 offensive rebounds per game - a mark that ranks second in school history. Her average of 8.9 rebounds throughout the season ranks third in program history.
- First Opponents, Now Teammates
Azaria Robinson is not the only Mountain West player to transfer so she could be part of Little Rock's Team. Raziya Potter spent three seasons at San Jose State (albeit the Spartans only played four games in a COVID-shortened 2020-21 season) and faced off against Robinson in Mountain West play. Now the tandem will have to work together as part of the Trojans roster.
