Little Rock Track & Field Unveils 2022 Outdoor Schedule

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Highlighted by seven meets within the state borders, four meets at Power 5 programs and the final run around the Sun Belt Conference, Little Rock Track and Field unveiled its 2022 outdoor schedule Friday.
 
Half (seven) of the 14 meets on the 2022 slate are scheduled within the state of Arkansas starting with the outdoor season-opening Harding Spring Break Multis (Mar. 6-7) and followed by the UCA-hosted Richard Martin Jr. Invitational (Mar. 18-19). Sandwiched in between those two meets, the Trojans will begin their final tour around the Sun Belt Conference with a trip to the South Alabama Invitational on Mar. 11-12.
 
Little Rock announced on Dec. 9 that the school had accepted an invitational to join the Ohio Valley Conference beginning July 1, 2022.
 
A run of three straight meets hosted by Power 5 schools starts with the first of two split-squad weekends on Mar. 25-26 when Little Rock will compete at both the Texas Relays and the Ole Miss Classic. Then a whole Trojan squad will head to Fayetteville for the annual John McDonnell Classic on Apr. 7-8.
 
After a stop back in Searcy for the Harding Bison Open on Apr. 9, Little Rock will return home to host the Little Rock Twilight on Friday, April 15 at the Coleman Sports Complex.
 
Another split squad weekend takes place on Apr. 22-23 with Little Rock heading to both the Red Wolves Open in Jonesboro as well as the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Virginia before wrapping up the regular season at the UTA Under Armour Invitational on Apr. 28.
 
Little Rock's final run at the Sun Belt Championships will take place May 12-14 in Lafayette, Louisiana before the NCAA West Preliminary Championships are held in Fayetteville on May 25-28. The NCAA Championships are set for June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon.
