LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Women's Basketball knows it needs to win four games in four days to claim another Sun Belt Tournament Championship but the path to a title will need the Trojans to achieve a few firsts along the way.

Championship Central | Tournament Bracket

The Trojans' will start off by needing to win two games against opponents they have not seen yet this year starting with facing Coastal Carolina on Friday afternoon in Pensacola, Florida. The winner advances to face Georgia State, another team Little Rock has not yet faced this season.
Â
All tournament games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ except the championship game, which will air live on ESPNU.
Â
Series History
- This will be the seventh meeting between the Trojans and the Chanticleers in a series that dates back just a few years to the 2016-17 season when Coastal first entered the league. Little Rock has a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series.
- This will be the first meeting between the two programs at a neutral site.
- The Trojans have held Coastal to under 50 points in all but two of the prior meetings.

Five Things to Know
- New Faces
Little Rock will see a lot of new things as it begins its run in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament including teams not yet seen before this season. Opening with Coastal Carolina and then facing Georgia State should Little Rock advance, both teams come from the league's East Division. The Sun Belt opted for division-only schedules this year.
- New Places
Not just facing new teams, Little Rock will be a part of a new location for the Sun Belt Tournament as the postseason event makes its debut in Pensacola, Florida. The tournament will split sites with games played at the Pensacola Bay Center and Pensacola State College.
- Hopefully Not New Outcomes
That's because Little Rock has quite a storied history in the Sun Belt Tournament. The Trojans have made the semifinals in 12 out of the last 13 years, including last year's pandemic-shorted tournament. Even more impressive is that Little Rock has won its opening tournament game in 14 straight Sun Belt Tournament appearances and is going for No. 15 on Friday.
- Dominating the Glass
Little Rock's Krystan Vornes has been a dominating force on the glass this season, entering conference tournament play ranking 22nd in the nation with 212 total rebounds, a mark that also ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference. Her average of 9.2 rebounds per game ranks her 64th in the nation and third in the league.
- Mighty Mayra
Don't let her size fool you, Mayra Caicedo is a threat anytime she is on the floor ... which is a lot. The 5-foot-3 junior point guard not only averages 35.87 minutes per game, she is first in the nation in assists (150) and ranks seventh nationally in assists per game (6.5) - still leading the Sun Belt in both categories despite Little Rock getting a COVID protocol-induced two week break in January. Caicedo also ranks 13th in the nation in assist percentage (37.3%) - marking the percentage of field goals a teammate makes off a Caicedo pass.
