LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Little Rock basketball player Shanity James led a group of former Trojans that went undefeated in the professional ranks over the past week.
Shanity James (6-1/C, graduated '16, plays in Sweden) was the major contributor in an Alvik Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Hogsbo (16-6) 75-65 in the Swedish Damligan on Wednesday night. She recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. James also added 3 blocks and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Alvik Basket Stockholm (20-2) is placed first in the Damligan. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. James has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg.
Yanina Inkina (6-2/F, graduated '19, currently in Belarus) was the main contributor in Gorizont's victory against the league leader Tsmoki-Minsk (26-4) 71-66 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Inkina was MVP of the game. She recorded 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Inkina's second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Gorizont Minsk (20-1) is placed first in the Premier League. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Inkina has relatively good stats this year 13.1ppg, 4.2rpg and 2.8apg in 27 games.
Chastity Reed did not play in Panathinaikos's most recent game, a 79-51 win over Dafni Agioy.
