Little Rock Announces 2021 Volleyball Schedule

Season kicks off Aug. 27 in Fayetteville

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Fresh off yet another Sun Belt Tournament Semifinal appearance, Van Compton and the Little Rock Trojans released their 2021 Volleyball schedule Wednesday.

This year's Trojan slate features seven home matches at the Jack Stephens Center following four early season tournaments. Little Rock fans can catch all seven home matches for just $40 as season tickets are already on sale. Purchase your 2021 Little Rock Volleyball season tickets here.

The 2021 season gets underway with a pair of tournaments in the Natural State starting at the Arkansas Classic in Fayetteville on Aug. 27-28. Little Rock will face the Razorbacks in the tournament finale on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville.

Little Rock's first foray in competition in the central Arkansas region will be Thursday, Sept. 2 at Central Arkansas in the latest edition of the Governor's I-40 Showdown presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. Then the Trojans leave the state for three consecutive weeks, first for a tournament at Lamar (Sept. 10-11) and then wrapping up the non-conference schedule with a tournament at Louisiana Tech (Sept. 16-17). The road trip concludes as conference play starts with a weekend swing at Coastal Carolina (Sept. 24) and at App State (Sept.26).

The home slate finally gets underway on Friday, Oct. 1 when Troy visits the Jack Stephens Center followed by South Alabama the following day. Arkansas State will visit "The Jack" on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Little Rock also has home games set against Texas State (Oct. 15) and UT Arlington (Oct. 16) before wrapping up the home schedule against ULM (Oct. 29) and Louisiana (Oct. 30).

A trip to Texas marks the final weekend of Sun Belt play as Little Rock plays at Texas State (Nov. 5) and UT Arlington (Nov. 6) before closing out the regular season in Jonesboro against Arkansas State on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

For the second consecutive year, the Sun Belt Tournament returns to Foley, Alabama with all 12 teams making the trip into postseason play with the conference tournament set for Nov. 17-21.

Van Compton, the Sun Belt's all-time winningest coach, will begin her 34th season as the head coach of the Little Rock Volleyball program in 2021 after recording and has recorded 539 wins in her tenure guiding Little Rock's Team. She has led the Trojans to four regular season Sun Belt Conference championships, five tournament championships and five appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

A full promotions schedule for the Trojans' seven home matches will be announced at a later date.
