Laura Jansen Named to Preseason All-Sun Belt Team

NEW ORLEANS – Little Rock senior Laura Jansen was named to the Sun Belt's 2021 Preseason All-Conference team as the league's preseason honors and coaches poll was announced Tuesday.
 
Jansen received the nod after claiming first team all-conference honors and all-tournament accolades last season after guiding the Trojans to the semifinals of the Sun Belt Tournament.

During her junior season, Jansen ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference in kills per set (4.10) and fourth overall in kills (291) as she was on the court for every single serve of the year. She finished the year ranked 50^th in the nation in total kills, 25^th nationally in attacks per set (11.83), 44^th nationally and second in the league in points per set (4.68) and 48^th nationally and fourth in the conference in total points (332.5).
 
Little Rock was selected to finish fifth in the West Division, receiving 27 votes in the preseason poll. Texas State was picked to win the West Division while Coastal Carolina was picked to win the East Division.
