Little Rock Never Trails, Serves Up Nine Aces in Win

RUSTON, La. – Nedima Kamberovic recorded a season-high 11 kills, Laura Jansen registered her 20^th career double-double and Little Rock never trailed in a straight-set win over New Orleans Friday at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston.
 
The Trojans (8-3) won their fifth consecutive match behind nine service aces. Set scores were 25-15, 25-13 and 25-15.
 
Kamberovic put down 11 kills and hit a match-leading .409 while Laura Jansen posted 11 kills and 13 digs, recording her fourth double-double of the season and 20^th of her career.
 
Service aces proved to be a critical aspect of the match as the Trojans served up nine in the match, led by Alyssa Nayar who matched a career-high three aces while Laure Jansen also had three aces. But it was Nathalia Vigineski's ace on match point that closed out the win.
 
Nayar set up 36 assists in the three-set match while Nicole Medlin posted three blocks and eight kills, hitting .278.
 
New Orleans (0-6) was led by Rita Zecchin's six kills.
 
Little Rock will face host Louisiana Tech at 6 p.m.
