COLUMBIA, Mo. – Behind an opening round 72 from
Malena Austerslaatt, Little Rock sits fourth among the 14-team field at the 2021 Johnie Imes Invitational at the Club at Old Hawthorne. The Trojans posted a 12-over 300 in round one, sitting three shots out of second after 18 holes.

Austerslaatt's 72 has the senior tied for ninth in the individual standings, five shots off the individual lead. She was 2-under through the front nine, then went 2-over on the back to finish even with three birdies and 12 pars on the afternoon.
Austerslaatt holds a three stroke lead on
Viktoria Krnacova, who is tied for 21st following an opening round 3-over 75, shooting even over the final 14 hoes after a sluggish start. She is one shot better than
Katja Mueller's 4-over 76 as the freshman is tied for 25th.

Anna Dawson posted a 5-over 77 in her first collegiate round, sitting tied for 35th, while
Agatha Alesson rounded out the Trojan scorecard with a 6-over 78.
As a team, Little Rock was tied for the tournament lead in par-three scoring at 2-over and was second among the field with 57 total pars. Individually, Austerslaatt was efficient on the par-fours in round one, sitting second among the field at 2-under while she, Krnacova and Mueller are all even on the par-threes. Krnacova was the top Trojan on par-fives, sitting at 1-under.
Little Rock's opening round 300 puts the Trojans fourth overall, two shots back of third-place Wichita State (10-over 298) and three back of second-place Mercer (9-over 297). The Trojans enter Tuesday's second round one shot better than fifth-place Oral Roberts (13-over 301), two ahead of Arkansas State (14-over 302) and three shots better than both Northern Illinois and Illinois State (15-over 303), tied for seventh.
Tuesday's round two gets underway with an 8 a.m. tee time as the Trojans will play with Oral Roberts and Arkansas State in the second round groupings. Live scoring is available at
