COLUMBIA, Mo. – Little Rock shaved two strokes off its opening round total, carding a 10-over 298 in round two of the Johnie Imes Invitational. The Trojans sit at 22-over 598 after 36 holes but slipped to eighth in the team standings despite the improvement as the field overall went lower over Tuesday's second round.

Little Rock used a surge over the final three holes to register its fourth sub-300 round of the year, going 6-under as a team over holes 16, 17 and 18. Each golfer registered at least one birdie over the stretch, including three each on both 16 and 17.
The Trojans were led by an even-par 72 from
Viktoria Krnacova as she moves into the top-20 individually, tied for 19th among the 76-player field at 3-over 147. Krnacova parred her first 13 holes of the day and finished with 15 in round two with a birdie on 17. Her 28 pars leads the tournament as she is even on par-threes and one under on par-fives.
Katja Mueller and
Malena Austerslaatt are tied for 27th overall at 6-over 150. Mueller posted a 2-over 74 in round two while Austerslatt notched a 6-over 78.
Agatha Alesson posted a 3-over 75, sitting tied for 39th at 9-over 153 with
Anna Dawson rounding out the scorecard at 10-over 154 following her second round 5-over 77.
After entering the day in fourth place, Little Rock slipped four spots but remains just five shots out of the top-five. The Trojans trail both Northern Illinois and Mercer (17-over 593) for sixth while Arkansas State and Illinois State (14-over 590) are tied for fourth, five shots better than Little Rock.
Host Missouri holds a commanding team lead at 7-under 569, leading second-place Wichita State (9-over 585) by 16 shots. Oral Roberts (11-over 587) is third, three shots better than the Red Wolves and Redbirds in the tie for fourth.
The final round gets underway at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning as Little Rock will play with Northern Illinois and Missouri State in the final round groupings. Live scoring is available at
