FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Breya Clark smashed a 26-year old school record in the triple jump record and was one of three Trojan jumpers to post a top-five finish as Little Rock competed at the Arkansas Invitational Friday afternoon in Fayetteville.

Clark broke the school record in the triple jump by over 2.5 feet, jumping 39-10.5 (12.15m) as she placed third in the event. Her mark broke the record that was previously set by Carmen Macon in 1996, several years before Clark was born. Macon originally set the record with a jump of 37-0.25 (11.29m).

Also in the women's triple jump,
Crystal Trowers registered the second-best jump in school history as her leap of 37-8 (11.48m) placed her seventh in the meet. Friday's competition was Trowers' first career collegiate competition in the jumps.

While Clark was breaking the school record in the women's triple jump,
Jordan Wallace was etching his name in the Little Rock record books in the men's triple jump. Wallace, a transfer from Troy, jumped 47-8.5 (14.54m) to post the fifth-best mark in school history, a jump that placed him fourth in the competition.

Ryan Curington also placed third in the jumps as he posted a mark of 23-5.25 (7.14m) in the long jump.

Another school record fell in the men's 1,000m run as freshman
Dominic Ward ran 2:37.11 to place 12
th. Ward's time topped the previous record of 2:41.42 set by
Max Holzmueller in the 2018 Sun Belt Indoor Championships.

Ludovica Polini posted a new top pole vault mark by over six inches, clearing 12-1.5 (3.70m) for the third-best mark in school history.

Desmond Frasier and
Casey Griffin made their mark in the shot put. Frasier's throw of 48-8 (14.83m) registered as the fourth-best throw in school history while Griffin posted the seventh-best throw, recording a mark of 45-10 (13.97m).

On the track,
Cameron Jackson continued to excel as he posted a new personal best time in the 200m, placing eighth as he ran 21.53. That is recorded as the seventh-best time in school history.

Barry Richards ran an impressive 60m hurdles time of 8.46, posting the fourth-best time in school history as he placed 13
th in the meet.

On the women's side,
Gabby Ayiteyfio registered a time of 7.77 in the 60m dash prelims, placing eighth as she registered the sixth-best time in school history.

Little Rock returns to action on Jan. 21-22 when the Trojans head to Nashville, Tennessee for the Vanderbilt Invitational.
